Elevé Performance Cancelled
As the well-being of Sedona’s guests and community is of utmost importance to us we are sad to announce that the Sedona Chamber Ballet must cancel the upcoming Eleve’ concert, featuring the Artist Relief Fund and the young dancers of Arizona, scheduled for April 4, 2020 at 7pm at the Sedona Performing Arts Center.
It is important to note that we have spent considerable dollars in preparing this event for you and we implore you to consider donating your ticket purchase to the Sedona Chamber Ballet to ensure that we can continue to bring world-class dance events to Sedona. You will receive a tax receipt for your generous contribution. However if you require a refund for all or some of your ticket purchases, please email us at Sedona Chamber Ballet ([email protected]) by the end of the week and we will promptly issue the refunds.
Our thanks to the Artist Relief Fund, Ilir Shtylla, Kendra Mitchell Dahl, Kelly Roberts and Shalane Moore for all they have contributed to the planning of this premier event. Thank you to all the dancers and the parents for their hard work and rehearsal time. Heartfelt thanks for your continued support of the arts in Sedona.
The coronavirus, COVID-19 presents our community with a public health challenge that is all the more concerning due to the uncertainties associated with its spread. In light of this unprecedented challenge, guided by the CDC data, the World Health Organization declaration of a pandemic and the Declaration of Emergency by the State of Arizona, it is in the best interest of public health that the event not be held. This virus is readily spread through close human contact which is the situation created in a performance venue. Eliminating large gatherings and creating social distancing is a crucial step in containing the virus. This situation would be further exacerbated because much of our audience is in the high risk segment for COVID-19.
We look forward to your continued support.
Thank you,
Winifred Muench,
Chairman, Sedona Chamber Ballet
